Profile: Decorating professionally has been my career since 1975. Growing up with a mother who loved to sew and decorate, I have always been excited about the decorating process. I love to work with clients to create homes that reflect their individual lifestyles...collaborating on color and furniture selection, floor plans, and focusing on the myriad details involved in designing a successful home. We have designed residences at the famous Dakota and other prestigious buildings in New York, as well as beautiful homes throughout the country...from the New Jersey horse land, to the Tucson Desert...from the West Virginia Hills to the seashores of Long Beach Island, the Hamptons, Martha’s Vineyard and Palm Beach. Commercial design work includes offices for communications and public relations firms, a cosmetic dentist, as well as retail stores and restaurants in the NY Metropolitan area. Over the years, between decorating projects, I authored six books for Clarkson Potter, designed patterns for all the major pattern companies, and created product for Levollor. I served as a spokesperson for several major retailers and online firms, sharing our expertise in decorating, design and gift giving. The greatest satisfaction in my career has come from the relationships developed with clients. I have been so fortunate to have clients that have trusted me to collaborate with them to create homes that enable them to live even more beautifully. Our designs produce spaces that will nurture them and reflect their personalities, not mine. And, the best part, is that our clients continue to call every time they move, downsize or upsize, add another residence, or simply need an update, The longer we work together, the better team we make.
